Telecommunications

A Delegation of Public Utility was set up for the ADSL coverage of the entire department in February 2008. The most isolated areas have now access to high-speed services. All of the private individuals are able to have access to 2 megabits, and the companies located on the 88 activity zones are able to reach up to 20 megabits (until 10 megabits for the others). Multi-technology equipment was deployed : optical fibre and WiMAX networks. So people who are living in Aveyron have broadband internet access as if they’re living in urban agglomerations. Companies, local governments and private individuals are able to enjoy the complete catalogue of operators of services and suppliers of access present on the network.
